Seamless Workday Rollout Sets the Standard

To replace a system that manages the work hours and performance reviews of nearly 5,000 employees, plus the job application information of thousands – the risks were high

Fortunately, the replacement of an old human resources information system to a new, industry-leading software turned into one of the most successful projects in the history of Tokio Marine North America Services (TMNAS).

To modernize and improve the user experience, TMNAS recognized the need for a new human resources information system to support employees across six Tokio Marine Group companies. The previous tool was outdated, lacking functionality, and complex for employees to use. Professionals across multiple TMNAS departments began a project to transition companies to a more modern, agile, and user-friendly HR system. After extensive research and proof-of-concepts, TMNAS selected Workday , an industry-leading platform that would enhance our human resources and finance operations!

To successfully implement Workday, the teams were responsible for migrating sensitive employee and job application information and managing customizations. In addition to supporting the technical transition to the new platform, TMNAS designed and delivered a training program to ensure employees were prepared for the move and knew how to use Workday for tasks like hiring, managing performances, tracking their work hours, and more.

The implementation had only a handful of minor defects, a rare feat for a project of this scope and a testament to the collaboration between TMNAS and our customers.

One way the team achieved these outstanding results and had minimal defects after go-live was through the care period they gave to all Group companies after post-implementation. During this period, the team clearly communicated and swiftly handled any technical issues that arose.
